Ritz Relay Problem: Why Your Car Won't Start and the ₹450 Fix
The Maruti Ritz is a bulletproof car, but it has a few known quirks. One of the most frustrating ones is turning the key, hearing a single loud “CLICK,” but the engine doesn’t crank.
Before you call a tow truck or replace the expensive starter motor, check the starter relay. It is a common failure point on older Ritz models.
What You Need
- A 10mm wrench
- A new 4-pin relay (Part Number: 95200-M68K00) - Costs around ₹450 at any Maruti parts store.
The Fix
- Pop the hood and locate the fuse box on the right side (battery side).
- Open the lid and look at the diagram inside the cover.
- Locate the “Starter Relay” slot.
- Pull the old relay out (you might need to wiggle it).
- Push the new relay firmly into place.
- Turn the key.
That’s it! Your Ritz should fire right back up. Save this post for the next time your car gives you trouble.
